Bird on Perch is a focus timer you use in your browser, and can install to your home screen. This policy describes exactly what data exists and where it lives. It is short because there genuinely isn't much to describe.
Nothing. We ask for no email address, we have no sign-up, we set no analytics or advertising cookies, and we operate no server that receives your activity. We could not tell you how many sessions you've run, because we have no way to know.
The app saves the following into your browser's local storage, on your own device. None of it is transmitted anywhere.
| Data | Where it lives |
|---|---|
| Focus session history, daily totals, streaks | Your browser's local storage |
| Which bird you have selected | Your browser's local storage |
| Your settings (notifications, session length) | Your browser's local storage |
Clearing your browser data, using a different browser or device, or uninstalling the app permanently deletes all of it. There is no backup and we cannot recover it, because we never had a copy.
If you add Bird on Perch to your home screen, your browser stores the app's files locally so it can run offline. That is handled entirely by your browser — it involves no account and sends us nothing.
If you allow session-end alerts, they are scheduled locally by your browser or device. There is no push server, and no notification content is sent anywhere. You can revoke the permission at any time in your browser or system settings.
The site is served by a static web host, which — like all web servers — may keep short-lived technical logs such as IP addresses for security and reliability. We do not use those logs to identify or profile you.
Bird on Perch is not directed at children under 13. Since we collect no personal information from anyone, we collect none from children either.
Because everything lives on your device, you have direct control: clearing your browser data for this site erases all of it immediately, with no request to us needed. Depending on where you live you may have additional statutory rights to access, correct, or delete personal data — though in practice we hold none.
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above. Because we have no way to contact you, please check back here rather than expecting an email.
